VENOM: More U.S. Tour Details Revealed
August 19, 2006British black metal pioneers VENOM have officially announced more details of their upcoming North American tour, dubbed the American 10 Commandments Tour. "The band were last seen in the States in 1997 with a one-off appearance at the Metalfest in Milwaukee," reads a posting on the group's web site. "VENOM promised they'd return with a tour and have been eager to get back Stateside ever since, although line-up changes and internal problems made it impossible. Now working closely with Sanctuary Group and The Agency, every effort has been made to get VENOM back to America, and the efforts have paid off."

VENOM's new album, "Metal Black", was released in North America on April 4 via Sanctuary Records. The CD was mixed at the Townhouse Studios in London and contains 14 new songs.
VENOM recently recorded a session for the BBC at London's Maida Vale studios. The session, which was broadcast on Radio 1 on April 11 during Mike Davies' "Rock Show", marked the second BBC recording by VENOM since 1985, when they laid down four tracks for Tommy Vance's "Friday Rock Show".
